This online-textbook on mental health in childhood and adolescence is free of charge and gives an excellent overview of essential mental disorders in childhood and adolescence and associated topics. Currently, the textbook comprises 10 chapters: A comprehensive introduction is followed by chapters on risk- and resilience factors as well as developmental disorders. Externalising disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and substance use disorders are each presented in a separate chapter. Furthermore, there are chapters on other disorders, psychiatry and pediatrics and miscellaneous topics such as legal and administrative.
But why is this textbook outstanding? International experts have written the chapters of their field of expertise. They can be downloaded as PDF free of charge. All texts are written in English, and numerous are available in other languages such as Russian, French, or Portuguese.
